The AIFA Control Tower has a Pre-Hispanic concept of the part of Mesoamerica where two things are alluded to: the Chimalli and the Macuahuitl, instruments that were used by the Eagle Warriors, who were representatives of that population and considered themselves leaders, they were the ones who defended the people of their civilization.

The Chimalli was a defensive object used by the military forces of Mesoamerica, made of wood and maguey fibers inlaid with jade, feathers or ropes.

The Macuahuitl was a wooden stick with obsidian stones inlaid with it.

That is why, in this area where the Mexica lived, the concept of the weapon and shield used by these warriors is taken up. The Chimalli was characteristic of each Warrior and served to mark his hierarchy. It can be said that each Chimalli was unique in design.

The Chimalli can be seen represented in the plan of the terraced buildings, while the shaft represents the Macuahuitl, from the handle and the obsidians inlaid.

Likewise, the control tower has 3 buildings attached buildings: administrative area; academic (with a flight simulator); and recreational, dining room, dormitories, sports fields, cafeteria, where air traffic controllers can have a moment of recreation and relaxation.

To optimize the vision of air operators, the windows are tilted at 18 degrees, thus avoiding solar reflections, in rainy conditions, the water runs fluidly
