Fuel Terminal (Jet Fuel)

Designed under national and international norms and standards, this terminal has as its main function to store, control, supply and drive Jet-A aviation fuel to the aircraft stations.

Its location is north of the Airport and comprises a total of 10.66 hectares where there are 3 fuel storage and distribution tanks, as well as administrative areas.

Like other facilities within the AIFA, from its initial design the necessary space has been planned for a possible future expansion.

  • It is operated by ASA, through a Collaboration Agreement with this company.
  • It has a total storage capacity of 21,000,000 L in 3 vertical tanks of 7,000,000 L each in a first phase, considering a growth to 80,000,000 L.
  • There is a fuel distribution network by means of hydrants with a length of 20 km and 66 dispatch points.
  • The following vehicles are available for the supply of jet fuel to aircraft:
  • 3 dispensers, 2 x 20,000 L tankers
  • 1 tank car of 40,000 L
