AIFA has an emergency response system with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel
Description of the SSEI
The primary objective of the Rescue and Firefighting Service (RFS) is to save lives in the event of aviation accidents or incidents occurring within the aerodrome or its vicinity. The rescue and firefighting service is provided to create and maintain conditions that enable survival, establish escape routes for occupants, and initiate the rescue of those unable to escape without direct assistance. External equipment and personnel beyond those designated for firefighting and rescue purposes within the airport may be required for rescue operations.
AIFA has Rescue and Firefighting Service (RFS) personnel to address aircraft accidents or incidents and protect facilities in case of emergencies, with the primary goal of saving human lives. The personnel participate in ongoing training programs.
The level of protection provided by AIFA for Rescue and Firefighting Services aligns with the aerodrome's category and adheres to ICAO recommendations as specified in Annex 14 and Doc. 9137, “Airport Services Manual” Part I: Rescue and Firefighting Services.
There are 2 stations (Primary and Secondary) strategically located for the provision of RFS.
