The AIFA has state-of-the-art technology for approach and landing systems
The AIFA has two parallel runways, with orientation 04/22, they are built in high-strength hydraulic concrete, which increases their useful life and reduces closures for maintenance, they have a length of 4500 meters by 45 meters wide which positions them as the longest in the country.
There is a separation of 1600 meters between them, which allows simultaneous landing and take-off operations to be carried out.
AIFA's runways are designed to be used by FOX category aircraft, of great weight and wingspan, which expands its versatility and operational capabilities.
They are also equipped with an ILS CAT IIIA instrument landing system, which allows air operations to be carried out in conditions of reduced visibility.
In addition, it has a modern and efficient storm drainage system that together with its lighting system and other navigation aids allow landings and takeoffs to be safer.
